A note from Crane Zhou
Hi, I’m Crane Zhou (周乐), a software engineer at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu and founder of DF Digital.
I built UPCLabelMaker after watching small e-commerce and Amazon FBA sellers repeatedly lose hours—and pay $0.35 to $1.50 per-unit unplanned prep fees—because of two preventable printing bugs:
First, when you print a 30-up Avery 5160 or 8160 sheet from a standard web tool or browser print dialog, a 3.5% “Fit to Page” shrink pulls row 10 upward by nearly 7 mm, slicing the barcode right across the die-cut perforation. Second, Amazon Seller Central exports a brand-new 30-up page for every SKU, wasting dozens of stickers whenever you ship small mixed batches.
Instead of wrapping a generic HTML canvas in a 6-step design wizard, we locked our preview and PDF engine directly to the physical PostScript point geometry (72 pt = 1 inch = 25.4 mm) of real label stock, and open-sourced our die-line coordinate dataset and GS1 Modulo-10 check digit reference on GitHub.
